Luciano,
“Lucky” and Belén are first cousins, born just 9 months apart. Their mothers
are sisters and best friends, often living in the same apartment building,
raising their children together like brother and sister, literally sleeping in
the same crib as babies. Sure, loving your first cousin is taboo but Lucky
knows a secret that makes their relationship absolutely impossible.
Lucky
eventually flees to join the Marines in an attempt to escape the temptation of
Belén and to hopefully leave her to create a successful life of her own. Even
with this physical distance and after he discloses the big secret, their
passion for one another remains yet simultaneously can never be allowed to

This book is perfectly named, the main characters are absolutely love sick over one another. Mara White does such a phenomenal job of creating emotions that I could literally feel the stomach churning heartache they felt towards one another. It was physically uncomfortable but totally worth it!!!
